Due to COVID-19, my Junior High Band students will not be able to do as much learning and performing together. We will, uncharacteristically be seated at desks for class, with no wind instruments being utilized for full class learning.
The driving force behind all music is rhythm! We can practice rhythms and play rhythm games to continue learning and strengthening this fundamental element of music. This will be utilized as an opportunity to grow in rhythmic concepts that we can apply to the rest of our music making; whether it be alone or in small groups.
With drum sticks and a practice pad for each student, we can work on rhythms together in a safe and fun way!
