I teach in an urban k-8 school. We are a gifted and talented magnet, recognizing that giftedness comes in many forms and looks different for each child. My students come from diverse backgrounds, both culturally and socioeconomically. We have many languages spoken in our school. As sixth graders, our students are figuring out who they are and how they fit into the world around them. We aim to provide lots of different opportunities for our students to explore these ideas through projects, experiences, and conversation.
