My students are underprivileged 1st graders and they face many adversities in life every single day. A majority of my students are in CPS custody, foster care, and some have been successfully adopted. Often times I am the closest thing that they have to consistency and having a loving and encouraging environment. I truly care about not only the well being of my students, but also their future as successful adults able to make a positive contribution to today's society.

About my class
