My students are eager to learn and thrive when activities are interesting. Most do not come with the basic school supplies and I do my best to provide that for them. I use my own funds for pencils, paper, dry erase markers, etc. My school is Title One with limited resources and funding. We have implemented a program called Micro Society to help support students functioning in the real world.
Students need activities that apply real-life skills so they are prepared when the time comes. I am an educator who takes my profession seriously and wants the best possible resources, so that my students will have a greater appreciation for their learning and I can always be proud that I provided the best for them as their teacher. I create hands-on activities that support student learning in the classroom using money and financial activities to teach them what they will encounter in the real world and what is simulated in the Micro Society.
