The materials and supplies I have requested for this project will provide the equipment needed for my students to experience doing a painting project for the first time. Beginning with watercolors, the students will learn wet on dry, wet on wet, and dry brush techniques used in painting. This will prepare them for the acrylic projects.
I believe in relating artwork to culture. Our projects focus on Native American watercolors and acrylics reflecting the culture of agriculture. I then allow students to choose a culture they want to represent through art.
