My students are 9th-12th grade special education students. I teach three different special education classes so these students are in my classroom for either a work experience class (this class features guest speakers and practice applying and interviewing for jobs), Resource (a study skills class that teaches them how to study and apply the knowledge they learn in their core academic classes), or an English III class (this is designed and taught using accommodations and at a slower pace so that my students can access the academic curriculum successfully). These students have a true desire for learning and want to better themselves by coming to school. School does not come easily to my students, so I try to engage them and make our lessons fun as often as possible!
