As educators, our job isn't only to teach academics but to create leaders and doers. We want our students to develop empathy and understanding about other people. As part of the Kindness Squad, the books in this project will be used to spark classroom discussions about kindness. Picture books show children what kindness can look like. They can prompt important conversations about relationships with other people in the world. Even people we don’t know. Or don’t like. Let’s show our students that we value listening and learning about others with curiosity, open-heartedness, and kindness.
The t-shirts will be given to students in our Kindness Squad to wear as we promote our kindness campaign across campus. We want our Kindness Squad to look united when they spread their message loud and clear.
