My classroom is filled with curious and lively first graders. They come from all over St. Paul, representing many neighborhoods, families, races, cultures, and beliefs, and social/academic needs. As a group, they are defined by the care they show for each other and their enthusiasm for learning. Books are especially treasured in our classroom. We have many laughs and also serious discussions about the books we share. Our classroom loves to experience our learning in and through the arts. We sing, draw, move, and create throughout every day. We also love to learn from our weekly cooking projects, featuring global recipes.
