I teach in a low social economic school. Most of the students are on free or reduce lunch. Many of them don't have the resources to use the world as their classroom. Their parents work hard to make ends meet, and can't afford to send them to after school programs, nor go on weekend outings that will engage their learning brains. Many of the parents don't drive and my students are limited to any free programs that require driving. They also are very limited in technology at home such as computers, iPads etc...
These students are loving and have the kindest hearts. They are eager to learn but they sometimes don't the resources to help. Even though they don't have much money, most of them donate the little that they do have to our classroom community project, which is to buy a goat for the Heifer International foundation. This shows me that they have giving hearts, and it will be beautiful that someone will donate to them.
We need the helping hand of donor to purchase materials.
