My students need a comfortable space to read. They will use these bean bag chairs to read collaboratively as well as to read independently. In my classroom, we engage in a number of literacy specific tasks such as book clubs or literature circles, Universal Access reading groups, partner reading, and independent reading.
My students need these materials to create a connection to literacy and build a love of reading.
My students need these 4 beanbag chairs to create a student centered reading space. The bookshelf will hold our small classroom library, making the books accessible. Over the first few months, we will need to refill our beanbag chairs as they settle. As a new teacher, these items will brighten my classroom and encourage students to engage in the act of reading a very good book.
