The Osmo is an interactive game that uses the iPad to turn learning concepts into a hands-on-learning experience.
Students will be using the Osmos in their everyday math class to help strengthen their understanding of the lesson of the day. Our math program that our classroom uses has Osmo lessons that help with the new concept being taught. They will use tiles (game pieces) to solve word problems, help with fact fluency, and even to help with fractions.
Our classroom will also use the Osmos to make spelling interactive. They will be using the word tiles to create words that are on their spelling lists for the week.
The Osmo also teaches problem solving and creativity skills through the Newton app and the Drawing app. Students need to create paths to bring electricity to the outlets on the screen. They will also have the chance to look at an image on the screen and copy it on paper.
