I teach kindergarten in a classroom where many of my students have not gone to preschool and are missing some of the basic pre-kindergarten experiences that other 5 year-olds have had.
My class consists of 13 energetic Kindergartners from a variety of home and family structures. More than half of my students come from low income families and the majority of students are not white.
