My students have been requesting a Lego Club for two years, this year, the students got together and wrote a letter asking for the club. After reading the letter I knew I had to start the club and find a way to make it happen for these students. I feel these students deserve to have the club and the same opportunities to learn as other students.
In the letter they describe hearing about other schools that have Lego clubs and wanted to know why our school did not have one.
The school is considered title one and does not have extra money to start a club, however I did not want that to be the reason these students could not have the Club. You cannot put a price tag on the learning that will take place during the participation in the club.
