Headphones are my helpers! My students students with special needs are often over stimulated by all of the lights and sounds in their environment that they are learning to filter out. By providing headphones for their computer work environment, we are reducing some of the unwanted sensory input and are able to help the students focus more on the assignments at hand. Our students with special needs learn tremendous amounts of skills utilizing the computer programs we are able to provide for them through curriculum experiences as well as reward times.
