This is my first year teaching Second Grade (I was lucky enough to loop with my Firsties from last year!). We use the Bookworms Reading Curriculum, which covers many important role models, such as Abraham Lincoln, Jackie Robinson, Amelia Earhart, Hellen Keller, and many more. My Second Graders LOVED learning about these amazing humans! I want to create a collection of books based on these influential people for our classroom library. In the Bookworms Curriculum, our most popular shared reading books were Ivy and Bean and Judy Moody - I would love to send home a copy of the continued sets home with my kiddos this summer. I also know they LOVE Dog Man, so I am hoping to send home a copy with my students - as well as create a collection for my classroom library. My kiddos love their flexible seating options. They would be very excited for the purple stools!
