My second grade students attend a low income school in Fort Worth, TX. They are extremely energetic and passionate learners. They love to read, write creatively, and learn new math skills. They also enjoy using technology in our classroom to do research, type of papers, and to play First in Math. These students have the utmost respect for authority, as well as each other. They are caring, courageous, and unique, which make coming to school an enjoyable experience each and every day. These children do not necessarily have it easy at home. Many of them take on challenges each and every day, but they know once they come to school they are in a safe and nurturing environment. At home, many of these students don't have many books to read. In our classroom we have an ever growing classroom library filled will books of all genres. My student's would absolutely appreciate and love a new, comfortable, big rug, large enough for EVERYONE to fit on. In our classroom, everyone matters.
