I work at a Title One school with amazing kids. These full of energy six and seven year olds walk into my classroom ready to work hard. I provide them with different opportunities to enrich their learning. They ask inquisitive questions, engage in meaningful conversation, and add insight to help each other learn and grow each day!
As our world becomes more technology driven, the need of my students to have greater access and experience with technology becomes imperative to meet the demands and rigor of grade level content.
Many of my kids come from low-income families, that don't always have access to the technology we have at school. Their only opportunity to use this engaging resource, is in my classroom. And for many, this is the high light of their day! We have access to an older mobile lab that we share amongst the whole 1st grade, but that isn't even a class set! Needless to say, their technology opportunities are limited in time and exposure.
