Being a teacher in this day and time is a wonderful thing! Students are coming to school with more knowledge than ever before. This is due, in part, to the technology that they have access to. It is also due to the fact that kids are naturally curious. Providing them opportunities to learn things hands-on is creating a community of life-long learners!
My school is one of the only non-Title I schools in our district. Because of this, our school receives very little federal/state assistance. We rely heavily on corporate sponsorships and grants to purchase the necessary items for our school.
The students that I work with are a great group! They bring so much knowledge to the table and have a love of learning. The use of technology within our classroom equips me to better teach the objectives that we are working on. It also allows my students to respond to assignments in ways that I never dreamt were possible!
