The majority of my students are low-income and do not have access to technology at home. Students come to me from kindergarten through the sixth grade . All of my students have been classified with a disability and come to my speech room for additional help with their communication needs. It is my job to motivate my students to work hard and overcome communication challenges. My students come to see me in groups of two to four, usually four, and my case load averages 55 to 60 students. I work with them one-on-one, as well as in the group as a whole. Self-motivation is a big part of my speech/language groups as my speech students have multiple opportunities to practice on their own during their speech time.
