Help me make my advanced classroom...ADVANCED! Unfortunately I find that public education, religiously under-funded, overlooks the needs of advanced level learners. These are the future leaders of our world and it is imperative that we foster their critical thinking and analytical skills. Because so many students in our population are performing on a remedial level, the majority of our funding is dedicated to meeting the needs of the bottom, rather than fostering the skills of the top. With 75% of my school qualifying for free and reduced lunch, it is not surprising that so few of them have access to classic literature.
