My students are predominately English learners. They are some of the funniest 6 year old kids I have ever been around. They are kids who barely, if ever, get to leave their neighborhood. I want my kids to know their neighborhood and surroundings do not define them. I want them to know they can become police officers, politicians, firefighters, doctors, dentists, veterinarians, zoologists, and teachers. I want them to know they can reach those goals they made the first week of school.
