Currently, in my class I have 13 kindergarten/first grade special education students in the Los Angeles Unified School District. My students are very bright kids and great observers, but they often get off task when they want to share their observations. For example, "I like your shirt... it has purple flowers... Oh! and tiny green leaves. They look like little circles." "Okay, now back to the letter 'L' class," I said. I have been a teacher for 7 years. My school is a multicultural environment. Language arts is my passion and I am always trying to incorporate fine arts whenever my resources allow me.
