Our school is in a very low income area. The students in our preschool program come to us with several risk factors (single parent homes, coming from war stricken countries, multiple families living in a small home, lack of education/work, and poverty).
The students in my class are 4 and 5 years old and speak at least 2 languages and thriving to learn anything and everything they can. They are looking to gain meaningful experiences in the classroom while engaging with friends and learning many new things. These students are very eager to come to school every day and learn things they never knew before and engage with materials that many do not have available to them outside of school.
