Children's books can be mirrors (students see themselves in the books) and windows (they help you see into the lives of others who are different from you.) The books I have selected focus on diversity: family structures, race, socioeconomic status, other cultures, and traditions as well as knowing your own value. It is so important that ALL of my students see themselves represented in our classroom library. These books will be used as a teaching resource for my students to understand and respect all cultures, races, genders, and every ethnicity. Thank you for your donation to help me build a diverse and inclusive classroom library.

About my class
