Children enter Kindergarteners with a variety of skills and abilities. For some this is their first group experience, many are non English speaking and are not only learning foundational math skills but language as well. Our school is tech savvy and is located near several big technology companies. Though we have computers and interactive white boards I've noticed a lack of hands on materials that students can choose from to practice and gain the foundational skills necessary to be successful in kindergarten math.
