I teach in a full day inclusive Pre-K classroom. My students range from ages 3 to 5. They attend school in an urban district. Pre-K is a new program within this school. As a result, we are still working to build our classrooms so that our students have the same opportunities as other students. There are students in my classroom with and without disabilities. Each of my students has a unique way in which they learn and access everyday things. I have students in my classroom that move throughout their day with support from a stroller or walker. Some of my students also use chairs for support in sitting while participating in rug activities or standers as equipment to support them in standing. In my classroom we are working to create a learning community amoung all of my students. We embrace differences and often talk about the different ways we all learn.
