I work at an at risk school where our students are on free or reduced lunch. My students come from homes where English is not their first language. However, each an everyday these children show up ready to learn. My parents some who have never spoken English at all are very supportive of their children and want to see them succeed and have a better life then they have. I have students who come from adverse situations but still come in everyday with a smile on their face and so eager to learn. I feel very fortunate to work with these students sometimes I feel like they teach me more than I teach them.
