My 6th grade scientists are explorers of the Bay Area. They are constantly searching for answers to questions they have not yet thought of. These scientists are on the journey for justice and have fun along the way.
While access to certain opportunities is challenging in a Title 1 school, my students and I work extremely hard to ensure that we will not miss out on quality educational experiences.
We refuse to let our adversities define our expectations for ourselves and our community.
My scientists come from all over the Bay Area with diverse home-lives and family backgrounds. These students know how to appreciate and empower differences in one another, but more than that they know how to work together for a common goal.
