My students are eager to learn despite being from a low poverty area in which 99% of students receive free lunch. Most of the learning and aid in instruction occurs when the students are within the four walls of my classroom. Most of these students have never been outside there neighborhood much less their city. Most of the life experiences these children have is what they experience at school and what we as teachers expose them to.
