Hello there :) & welcome to my DonorChoose page! I am a first year teacher just out of college at the University of Delaware. I just landed my first teaching job at a amazing school in Wilmington, DE called Highlands Elementary. After student teaching at Highlands last year, I knew it was the school I wanted to work at after graduation so I feel extremely lucky now to have a position at this school. I currently work with about 20 special education students across all grades from Kindergarten to 5th. Highlands is a smaller school with about 400 students. We are a title 1 school which means a large percentage of our students come from low-income families. Despite this factor, our school is known for having a warm and supportive environment with a caring and determined faculty.
