Using number talks in my classroom with the easel will provide my students with a safe place to discuss numbers and solve math problems mentally. Number talk will also help my students who speak other languages a chance to develop their language through discussion about numbers. These materials will help me provide my students with a greater understanding of how numbers work and how numbers relate to other numbers. The fraction manipulatives will help my students understand fractions and compare fractions. They will be able to see equivalent fractions using these manipulatives. They will also be able to use the manipulatives as the learn to add and subtract fractions.
