My students will use the tiles and snap cubes to see and understand math in a concrete way. As they move along the continuum from concrete to abstract, they will begin using the dry-erase boards to solve and graph inequalities and equations. To increase their math fluency and automaticity they will play "I Have...Who Has". To increase their strategic thinking skills, there will be "Equate: The Equation Thinking" tournaments.
By funding this project, you will assist my present and future students in building their math skills as they move from a concrete to abstract knowledge of math, and as they increase their fluency, automaticity and strategic thinking skills. Thank you for your support .
