Welcome to my Special Education Classroom! I have been teaching since 2009 and love working with my students who have special needs! I enjoy the challenge of finding the just right approach for teaching reading, writing, and mathematics as well as helping students with behavior and attention challenges. My belief is that every student has innate talents and abilities and I teach them that this, coupled with a whole lot of effort makes learning rich and fun! My classroom is one where students are nurtured and feel safe to take risks and be themselves. I work on building community with my students so they care for one another in and outside of the classroom.
