Our school is an inner city school, with approximately 80%-85% free or reduced lunch. Our budget has been reduced to the bare minimum. We, the teachers, spend between five hundred to six hundred dollars annually on classroom supplies out of our own pockets. This is just for everyday materials such as paper, pencils, tissue, etc. As a result, we do not have sufficient funding to buy necessary supplies to give our students the educational experiences that many others our receiving.
