We are looking to help students who exhibit symptoms of trauma through the beauty of art- specifically photography. They will learn techniques in portraiture, editing, and elements of photography. They will be creating projects on changing how they see the world and themselves through looking at a camera lens and learning elements of photography. This will be coupled with restorative circle conversations about what they’ve learned about others and themselves through taking photos of subjects and taking self-portraits. We will be working in conjunction with the guidance team (counselors and social workers) to help their social-emotional progress as time goes.
