My classroom is a supplemental emotional support classroom with students in grades 1-3. The school is located in a suburb right outside of Philadelphia. The school is about 500 students from grade 1-8. The students all have IEPs with behavior goals. Each student has their own unique personality and their own needs, behavioral and academically. They are a fun bunch of students that love to learn but need much direction. The students work for breaks and daily rewards. Many of my students come from single parent homes and struggle with receiving attention and redirection from their parents. The parents are supportive knowing that their child needs help.
