We desperately need storage for our art! Our Art room is currently in an old music room, which was once an old general education classroom. So it's had a lot of transitions, with little thought as to what would work best for young artists.
We have nowhere to store our amazing art, and regardless of ANY system we have tried in the past, student artworks have gone missing or gotten destroyed. You can just imagine how heartbreaking it is to not be able to find a student's masterpiece. (Probably my least favorite conversation to have to have with a student.) Moreover, when we have to go on a hunt for someone's project, the students are lose valuable minutes of artmaking. They need every minute they can get in our short time together. It truly has been a challenge without any cabinets.
This cabinet will not only keep our art safe, but allow us to create bigger projects because of its large shelves. This cabinet will provide us enough space so that each K-5 classroom at our school can have its own shelf space.
