My highly diverse 7th grade students attend a two-year middle school in the suburbs of a mid-sized city in California. They love to learn, create, and share. They are eager and enthusiastic, honest and friendly. 30% Asian, 27% Hispanic, 23% African American with a few others thrown in, my students know what "can't we all just get along" means not from instruction but from life. They support each other. They have hopes and plans for the future. They call themselves "future college graduates" daily.
