I have a unique group of 6th and 7th grade special education students. They all have disabilities, including autism and processing deficits, which leave them at a disadvantage in the typical American classroom. They are in my class because they can't work at the same pace or at the same level as their general education peers, but they are all amazing individuals who love learning about science, social studies, and what's going on in our world. They are always excited to learn new things, and they keep me on my feet figuring out new and exciting ways to teach them.
