As a third grade teacher I have all kinds of students to teach. Usually I am the only one assisting my students during the school day. It is challenging making sure I meet everyone's individual academic needs. I am fortunate to work with an amazing group of people who are willing to help out with any small groups, interventions, progress monitoring, etc. My students are enthusiastic about learning and look forward to the activities I have prepared for them. I have a respectful class that understands the financial strain of providing supplies and activities for them. In order to maintain an engaging learning environment, after each lesson we take a two minute dance/wiggle break. This allows them to move around and wake up their bodies and brains. Not all of my students learn the same. It is challenging making sure I am meeting all of my students' academic needs to ensure they have a successful year in third grade.
