We have twenty students who all reside within the city limits of a large metropolis. Exploring nature in this facet is not always an option for my students. To explore the dirt and to wonder what exactly is going on under the water opens up a whole new world for my students. All my students are below the US Government's poverty guidelines which sets the perfect backdrop for us to provide an outlet for their imagination! Twenty-five percent of my students speak another language other than English within their home so utilizing the exploration of the underground as an educational backdrop opens the door for language to grow and expand!
Our school is passionate about incorporating nature within the classroom and allowing the students to explore the nature that is out there whether it be in their own backyard or thousands of miles away. Our school is also extremely passionate about empowering the students with a variety of tools and resources to expand their learning.
