Sitting still and concentrating is difficult for a normal teenager. That makes it doubly hard for students with hyperactivity disorder. These students CANNOT sit still no matter how hard they try, and concentration is gone when you are focused on staying still. The 20 wobble chairs I am requesting allow the students to move while sitting in a crowded space.
Trying to concentrate on, and learn, the difficult and abstract math skills required in middle school is extremely hard to do when your body wants to move around. It is hard to concentrate on instruction and because of the limited space in the classroom, there is no room to move around while learning.
