My students are 3rd graders who are 8 and 9 years old.
The 3rd graders are excited about everything, love doing the simplest of experiments or studies about a variety of topics, and are very interested in any kind of exploration of the world around them. We do a variety of different types of learning hands-on lab work to singing about math or social studies, to creating skits/scripts, and drawing and creating art to help explain academic concepts.
I try to give these students a variety of ways to learn about their world because it is challenging and they respond well to art and creatively learning about any subject.
