In our classroom we read together every day, discovering new characters and going on adventures! During reading time my students currently look through picture books and read leveled readers. The books from this project will move them forward on their reading journey. These new decodable books will help my students take what they are learning during phonics instruction and apply it to their reading. They will practice using letter sounds to sound out simple words and build their knowledge of sight words. In combination with the books currently in our classroom library, these new books will provide my class an engaging and balanced reading experience.

About my class
