Our students are very needy students who come with a high percentage of them living in poverty, single-parent homes, non-English speakers, and challenges that No child should have to grow up with and encounter. The teachers hear not only serve as educators but also roles as mentors, psychologists, social workers, nurses, and any role that aids in the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development of a child. I feel teachers here are given the responsibility, and we have willing accepted it, of helping raise children who parents are have challenges and struggles raising them on their for a variety of reasons. Our students come to school feeling safe, welcomed, and loved! as the physical education teacher here I go the extra mile to make sure the students have tennis shoes that fit them properly, and are safe and comfortable. I spend numerous hours maintaining, repairing, and modifying equipment so children of all abilities can successfully learn a variety of skills.

About my class
