There is a mixture of boys and girls in my class. There are different minorities, 95% come from single parent homes, 100% receive free breakfast & lunch, and some attend the after school programs. My school is located in an urban area with extreme poverty.
Parents are very young; they want the best for their children but are not able to advocate for them.
