My students are amazing. They love all things funny including memes, movies and music. Now books, that's a different story. For years, many of them have not advanced to their current grade's reading level. Some of them are two or three levels behind. I have been gradually weaning them from being read to, and turning them toward independent reading. To keep them thriving, I intend to offer them a book that will pull at their heart strings, deliver enlightenment and leave them wanting to know more.

About my class
