I am a Title 1 teacher in Ness City, KS. My room is a place for extra learning and hands on experiences for students who struggle to comprehend and retain necessary skills to be successful in the classroom and in life. I currently teach students skills in both Math and Reading.
I focus on making the tasks and learning relevant to ALL students and to provide them with as much hands on learning as I can. When students can physically see the learning in front of them it helps them to better connect and retain it.
I provide students with materials that are both of interest to them and up to date, which means I am always looking for new, high-interest, award winning books in a variety of genres. My classroom library is built of a number of books ranging in levels for kindergarten students all the way up to sixth grade. While my room is for children who need extra help, my library is open to all!
