Adding these few supplies to my room give my students the freedom to move around in the room to accomplish the task they have been given. It also allows them the individuality to accomplish goals, think outside the box and rely on their skills to complete their work. My students to would be able to sit in small groups for collaboration and discussion. They would be able to sit individually for more focus and work completion. Having the freedom to move around to work either as a group or by themselves encourages and increases work productivity and completion. It also adds some color and excitement to the room. Being 5th grade students decor needs to encourage learning and not playtime.
