I teach Chemistry to 130 11th grade students at a small charter school in Los Angeles. Our student body has a high population of English Language Learners and about 20% are Special Education students. In addition, 100% of our students receive free lunch. Despite the many challenges my students face both at home and at school, they are still highly motivated to explore, achieve and excel in the classroom.
